Wild Pictures from Provo

In my humble and (oh so very) objective opinion, he's cute.

It's getting hot. Yuck.

We had a little BBQ at Provo Canyon for Memorial Day.

Look closely and you will see five pearly whites. Two are new as of this weekend. Now his smile is even more endearing.

I wish I could say he is always this excited to eat. He's not a terrible eater, but something must be wrong with his eating habits because at his nine month check-up with the doctor on Friday he weighed in at 16 pounds. That puts him in the "less than third" percentile for weight.... Not something to brag about as a mom, but at least the doctor said he is healthy.

Unfortunately, he gets more excited about the prospect of eating cat food than human food. We have to get down on our knees and beg him to eat when it's meal time, but when it's not, he always seems ready to chow down on some dirt, leaves, or cat food. Perhaps this is why he is so skinny....
We really have to keep a close eye on him now that he is so mobile. Today, he tipped over the plant next to the door when I went into the kitchen for .001 seconds. What a little stinker.

Yes. That really is cat food in his mouth. Sick. He threw a nice fit when I removed it.

Stinking and thinking... his two favorite activities. He's a pensive. mellow little dude, that's for sure.

Nolan tends to put his feet on the "table" when he's eating. It's really cute and kind of frustrating at the same time.

We need to work on his etiquette....

Rub-A-Dub-Dub, a wild bud in a tub!

Nolan

The following pictures are of our favorite little guy, Nolan. It is a small sample of his various poses and cute faces.

This is Patrick and Nolan in New York, in the woods, where they both seem to feel most comfortable.

The chicks are hatched here in Provo. We're pretty excited about it and go to see them almost everyday.
Here is Nolan at the duck pond during one of our visits.

Nolan is currently enrolled in Cup-Use-Techniques 101. It can be quite the challenge for both him and his instructor, but they both feel that with diligent practice, Nolan will finish the course successfully and prove himself capable of the skilled handling of empty cups, full cups, and everything in between. Of course, in the meantime, diligent practice tends to be dripping with humorous moments.
