The following comes from July (when pioneering the mountains and plains was more on our minds).
Before naptime, Nolan decides to draw a picture of the items needed for a trip "further than the Pioneers". He and Beagle are headed out on the journey to trump all journeys. So Nolan is explaining to us about this expedition and how arduous it will be, using his detailed drawing to help in his description. As Nolan goes on and on, Gerret finally interrupts in typical Pook fashion, "Uhh. Nowin? Can I go on the trip, too?"
Nolan's response is immediate, "No Gerret. This trip is not for you. You would never survive, because there will be no candy."

Bwaaahaha! Sounds like a big brother was just warning his little brother... what a thinker! I wouldn't want to go if there was no candy.
