Splendorific Saturday for Sisters

I have two sisters. They're both pretty cute girls and lots of fun to be around. They're also both a lot younger than I am, so sometimes I feel more like their mom than their sister and I'm sure they sometimes think of me more of a grumpy adult. So, my Christmas present to them this year was a night for sisters only. I was hoping that it would help remind them that when it comes down to the bare bones truth, I'm really just another one of them (just 15 years older....)
In my humble opinion, the night was a success. We started it out with "make-overs". In other words, I did their hair and put some make up on their flawless little faces. I don't own any hair spray, so I was just hoping that all the curls I painstakingly put in their hair would stay on their own, but much to my dismay, they had vanished before we even left the house. **I have the opposite problem. Curls won't leave my head alone. Sometimes I wonder why both of my sisters got the tame hair and nice eye lashes. Sheesh.**

After they were all cute-ified, we jammed to LOL, Olivia's new favorite group, all the way to Watkins Glen. At their request, we had stuffed crust, pepperoni pizza and root beer at Pizza Hut. While we were waiting for the food, we played a game called Pete and Repeat (I think that's what it's called). This had us pretending to brush our teeth, patting ourselves on the head, and saying things like "boo" and "groovy" right there in our Pizza Hut booth.
I normally would have been embarrassed, but I got caught up in the moment and we had a blast. The pizza was pizza and the root beer was soooo expensive.

We finished just in time to drive down the road to the movie theater and be entertained by the new Disney movie Bedtime Stories. It was cute and it had my sisters laughing pretty hard throughout, so I think it was worth $11. By this time, it was 9:30 and I was certain that I'd have two sleeping girls to carry from the car when we arrived back home. They surprised me and stayed awake to listen to more LOL. And now I have parts of their songs memorized.
